JRD Worship Publishing takes its name from John Rex Davis, the author of all the material contained in this website.  He is based in Brisbane, Australia.

I have been a believer since 1985, and for most of the time since then, I have served on worship teams both in small and large churches, and in various Pentecostal, Charismatic and Baptist congregations.

​

Prior to my conversion, I was playing full time in a rock band and had only just started writing original songs.  I then felt convicted to burn up those songs and prayed for Jesus to give me more and better songs for His glory in future.  That has resulted in close to 1,000 original songs being written since then - God is so faithful!

​

For me, songwriting has been a means for communicating and communing with God, through all of the ups and downs of life, and processing the emotions that accompany that. Thus, these songs are a storybook of that journey and God's faithfulness, love, grace and at times, discipline.  Together, they tell the story of my life - my testimony.

I hope you find something on this website that blesses you and points you towards God.  He wants us to be faithful in the little things first, but because they are so personal and God cares so much about us, they are also important things.
